Don't know. Maybe the chef uses some sort of culinary super glue, clumps the Cocoa Puffs together and makes a Cocoa Puff aggregate that sits on the side of carrot cake plate as wonder of the world.

This is a beer tasting dinner, by the way. Nothing enhances the taste of good beer better than Cocoa Puffs.

Don’t park in Oak Park is one solution, but it sounds strange, as if you want to take the park out of Oak Park.

The village could solve it another way. However, it would involve invoking the three most feared words in the Oak Park lexicon: allowing street parking.

These three words terrify Oak Parkers even more than the two words street parking. Many residents would sooner send their kids to Iraq than allow street parking.

As for the taxes in this village, I sympathize with you. The members of the local governing bodies should be whisked off to a secluded place like the Bates Motel for a fiscal restraint intervention.

The solution is simple. Don't park in Oak Park. Take your business elsewhere, probably some place with a lower sales tax on top of the parking ticket costs.

I might never venture into the Peoples Republic of Oak Park if I didn't need to take my child to OPRF. (With the District 200 taxes I can't afford to send him anywhere else.) Even at OPRF, they lowered the 2 hr. parking near the school to 1 hr. so there is not enough time even to have a teacher meeting.

Hey I like your blog and your wicked sense of humor. Keep up the good work, neighbor! I had to travel the blogosphere to find someone right next door. (I'm in Berwyn).

Thank you, but I couldn’t have done it without my research staff of learned pigs, my prose coach of several hundred chimpanzees randomly banging on Hermes 3000 typewriters in my basement, and my copy editor Edward, a white labratory rat with a genetically altered brain.
